I was very eager to watch this movie. It may be because I know what it contains, being an avid reader of the books. I booked the tickets in advance at sangeeth theater and watched it and this is what I felt.

I thought the beginning was good because it is different from the previous movies. It is very similar to the book. And from then the pace builds up as we get absorbed in the twisty and a more darker plot. But don’t think it’s all, there is enough humour and romance to keep you entertained throughout the movie.

It’s actually the screenplay which deserves accolaids more than anything. At many points I wondered how they’d be taking the next scene, but I was completely satisfied by the way they made it. David Yates was successful in cut shorting the book so much that the longest book is also the shortest movie, that too with adequate details. They only carried which they thought was neccessary to continue the story (kreacher being a last minute addition).

Credit goes to David for including many minute details without actually telling what they are. For example, the umberella stand in Blacks house on which Tonks trips over. Of course only a person who has read the books can understand that.

Here finally is the cast, which I should say is more than perfect. Imelda Staunton as Umbridge is just the perfect fit as is Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood. But I wished Bellatrix’s character was longer. She plays an important role in the book. Ah…somethings are different from the book but they are all well justified ( GoF lacks that). Daniel portrays Harry with perfection as an angry teenager. Rupert, Emma, Bonnie, Micheal Gambon, Maggie Smith are all excellent in their roles. The emotional scene where Trelawney is sacked really moved me. It is one of the best scenes in the whole harry potter series.

The climax fight in the ministry just rocks. The special effects are mindblowing, the best ever. But the closing of the movie should have been better. There is no proper justification to the prophecy and the interaction between Harry and Dumbledore is too short. For a person who hasn’t read the books, it’ll all be a blur.

Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, the fifth adaption in the series in the best movie till now. It is a truthful movie which delivers more or less exactly what it promises.

My brother brought the audio CD of Happy Days today. It costed Rs.50 but I think it’s worth every penny. You’ll agree after looking at the CD case. BIG music really made it really impressive. I love the photos on the cover.

Well, about the songs, I say these are songs you’ll want to listen again and again. They’re melodious and relaxing. I loved all the songs. A real break from all the mass songs coming out now. With light but mindblowing orchestra and sweet  meaningful lyrics,  Happy Days’ songs are a must listen. Mickey J Meyer gets all the credit for composing such wonderful songs.

Classical instruments are rarely used in this album and that’s what makes these songs different. The use of guitar and piano is really brilliant. The other best thing is the composer’s choice of singers. They all did justice to their songs. Karthik really stands out. Arey Re and O My Friend are his masterpieces.

The songs are all intervined. The charanam of Arey Re forms the base of the title songs Happy Days Rock and Happy Days. I think that’s really good. Easy to remember and hum all day along. You really get a feel for the film after listening to the songs. If you are a melody fan, go for this album. Happy Days rocks!!!

Hello world!

This is the first time I’m writing a blog. After giving a thought, I’ve decided that I’m going to write about music, books and internet. And of course about my favorite Harry Potter. I’m really excited about this. Let’s see where this will take me.
